Kelly Ripa still hasn't selected a permanent co-host to join her on Live! With Kelly.
Andy Cohen, who was speculated to be a good choice for the position, invited her to join him on his show, Bravo's Watch What Happens Live. They were also joined by Anderson Cooper, another of her temporary co-hosts, so it's no wonder talk turned to her show's future.
When a caller asked if she was any closer to finding a replacement for Michael Strahan, she said, "We really didn't set a time frame for ourselves. We just wanted to wait until we found the right person. What we didn't anticipate was that we would have such an outpouring of interest, so our list got very long very quickly. We've been trying to keep it as narrow as possible, but then people pop up."
In the meantime, she is having a blast bringing on a variety of co-hosts. In addition to having Cooper and Cohen on the show, she has also hung out with Michael Bublé, Mark Consuelos, Josh Groban, Joel McHale, Jerry O'Connell, Fred Savage, Christian Slater and Jussie Smollett.
"We've had a great time. I have to say, I feel really lucky and really embarrassed at our good fortune," she said. "It's a fun job to begin with."
Cooper agreed, saying, "It's the best job."
Unfortunately, he did not agree to become the new co-host though he was Ripa's top pick.
"Anderson re-signed with CNN, but he would have been your No. 1 pick, right Kelly?" Cohen asked.
Ripa replied, "He's my life. He really is. He's the one that got away and keeps getting away and gets away all the time."
