Bobbi Brown, the makeup mogul who has a cosmetics line bearing her own name, has announced that she will be stepping down from the company.
In a statement released Tuesday, the makeup artist turned business woman, revealed that she is going to pursue new ventures.
“The brand’s 25-year anniversary was a wonderful milestone that made me realize it was time to start a new chapter and move on to new ventures,” the 59-year-old chief creative officer said in a statement. “I am thankful for the extraordinary people that I’ve had the privilege to work with over the years and proud of the creative endeavors and innovative products we’ve created together. I am also incredibly grateful to The Estée Lauder Companies and the Lauder family for the many opportunities they gave me. I’m excited to see what the future holds.”
She launched Bobbi Brown Cosmetics in 1991 after a successful career as a professional makeup artist and sold the line to Estée Lauder four years later.
