Have you ever wanted to travel across the country at an affordable price? Travel expert and blogger Derek Low has created the perfect travel route for just $213, Cosmopolitan reports.

Low’s train route covers 3,400 scenic miles from San Francisco to New York. Low shared the ultimate sightseeing journey on his blog. The inexpensive trip will take you through Salt Lake City, Denver, Chicago and New York with spectacular views of the Rockies, the Sierra Nevada Mountains and much more.

To begin planning the journey, purchase your ticket for the direct California Zephyr and Lake Shore Limited routes. If you want to spend time in the cities and are willing to spend a little more money, you can buy a 15-day rail pass.

Low suggests sitting in the “Sightseer Lounge car” which allows you to look out at the beautiful sights through floor-to-ceiling windows. Passengers can learn more about the areas during their trip while they listen to narrations from historians and park rangers.
