Gloria Gaynor's classic breakup anthem got a new twist as some of Hollywood's biggest names took on the track for W magazine and Conde Nast Entertainment, and the result is pretty great.
Hollywood heavyweights like Emma Stone, Natalie Portman, Amy Adams, Matthew McConaughey, Chris Pine, Hailee Steinfeld, Felicity Jones and Taraji P. Henson all channeled their best disco skills for the mashup video, which features the stars reciting the lyrics of the classic song, with some singing and some speaking the words dramatically.
"This is going to be interesting," says actor Andrew Garfield at the beginning of the clip. "It may get too real."
Although each individual actor's part is quite short, they each make the most of their screen time, although some are more enthusiastic than others. Henson absolutely goes for it during her takes, even providing her own ad-libs — "Get your s--- and GO!" — and energetically pumping her arms in the air. Meanwhile, McConaughey takes a more relaxed approach, reciting the lyrics while chewing gum. Stone also gets into it, marching in place as she sings her lines.
