This prank would make anyone freak out!

The Ring franchise created a horrific, yet hilarious way to promote its newest movie Rings. Paramount Pictures just released a promotional video for its upcoming horror sequel in which real-life shoppers were terrified by the character Samara, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The prank took place in an electronics store. When shoppers began looking at televisions they could purchase, a long-haired ghoul jumped out of one of the screens. Almost all of the shoppers were spooked and many of them ran away. Needless to say, they probably had nightmares for days.

Rings follows a young woman who is worried about her boyfriend after he explores a video that is said to kill the watcher a week after they view it.
