McDonald's Rolls out New Type of Shamrock Shake

| Trending News

McDonald's lovers, there's a new Shamrock Shake in town.

Diehard fans of the sweet treat just can't seem to get enough of it, year after year around St. Patrick's Day — and McDonald's has taken notice and is capitalizing on that in a big way.

Brand Eating reports that participating McDonald's restuarants are planning to debut not one, but five different variations of the Shamrock flavor on their McCafé menus. This will include the original Shamrock Shake, a Chocolate Shamrock Shake, a Shamrock Chocolate Chip Frappé, a Shamrock Hot Chocolate and a Shamrock Mocha.

That's a whole lotta shamrock.

As for the ingredients?

The OG Shamrock Shake features vanilla soft serve, mint syrup, whipped topping and a cherry.

The new Chocolate Shamrock Shake consists of half a chocolate shake on the bottom and half a Shamrock Shake layered on top.

The Shamrock Chocolate Chip Frappé is a mocha frappe with whipped topping, green sugar and a drizzle of chocolate syrup.

The Shamrock Hot Chocolate, like the original, is a blend of milk and chocolate syrup but with the addition of mint syrup.

The Shamrock Mocha is similar to the hot chocolate but comes up with a shot of espresso.

The Shamrock beverages are reportedly already available in select locations but Instagram points to a bigger roll-out on February 7.

Will you try any of the new beverages?
