This time, it's Magnolia Home by Joanna Gaines Chalk Style Paint, which is an expansion of her popular KILZ paint line. The chalk style paint captures the classic look of a chalkboard, but it shouldn't be drawn on — note the words "chalk style." The formula can be applied to wood, metal, concrete and more, and dries with an Ultra Matte Finish to provide a lived-in look in the style of Gaines' decorating.
People reports that Gaines shared the news Tuesday at the KILZ Master Class event in Waco, Texas, and the line will be available beginning in late spring 2017 on MagnoliaMarket.com. Select colors will also be available at the Magnolia Market compound in Waco.
The line includes colors named after Gaines and husband Chip Gaines' four children, daughters Ella, 9, and Emmie, 6, and sons Drake, 11, and Duke, 8.
“I let them pick the paint color they love, they pick the name, and so they feel like they’re working with mom and not that mom is working and they’re over in the corner,” she told People about creating her original paint colors in 2016. “We figure out ways to make them feel like they’re super-involved so that it seems a little more holistic.”
