After it was announced that current Bachelor Nick Viall would be competing on season 24 of Dancing With the Stars, former Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe spoke out against the series' executive producer, Mike Fleiss, alleging that she herself was not allowed to compete on the ABC reality show when she was approached in 2015.
"Actually I was offered it, had the contract & Mike Fliess told me I wasn't allowed," she wrote on Twitter in response to a question about why there are no Bachelorette stars on the show. "He said he didn't want people wanting fame after his show."
Fleiss responded, tweeting, "@kaitlynbristowe has my total support if she wants to appear on DWTS!!! #TheBachelor."
"Thanks I'll get right on that opportunity 2 yrs ago," Bristowe replied with the eye roll emoji. "I wonder what changed your mind?"
