Happy St. Patrick's Day, Womanistas!
Whether you're Irish or not, today is still a day to celebrate, and dozens of major attractions around the world are getting in on the fun by bathing in some green lights. From the Colosseum in Rome to the Empire State Building in New York City, cities around the world are doing their best Irish impression as they light up with the holiday's signature color.
NBC News shares that the lights are part of Tourism Ireland's "Global Greening" campaign, which marks the beginning of the high tourism season in Ireland and "conveys the message that Ireland offers the warmest of welcomes and great fun, as well as wonderful scenery and heritage," Niall Gibbons, CEO of Tourism Ireland, said in a statement.
