A Japanese company created a service that will allow you to basically pay for friends, Mashable reports.
Family Romance created the new service, Real Appeal. It allows you select one or more companions to bring to social events and take photos with.
You can select gender, age and “appearance” of your companions for large and small events. The service includes “unlimited pictures, social networking, free of charge,” according to the website.
The company also gives a list of examples for why people may need to hire friends, which include, holiday parties, creating the appearance of a “nice network of connections” or to mimic pictures your popular friends post on social media.
The cost to hire one person for two hours is 8,000 yen or $70. In addition, you have to pay for their transportation fees.
One of the company’s customers said she was able to post many pictures to Instagram and on her blog because of this service.
