This Makeup Artist Painted Spongebob Squarepants on Her Eyelid and the Internet Is Loving It

Everyday makeup looks have been taking over the Internet for some time, but high school junior Esha decided to take things to a whole different level.

The homeschooled teen decided to create a different kind of "normal" look on her eye, and drew inspiration from a SpongeBob SquarePants episode in which Squidward tells SpongeBob that he isn’t “normal.” SpongeBob believes him and briefly transforms into a creepy version of himself before realizing that he was happy the way he was.

"In the actual episode, SpongeBob was seen as weird and 'not normal' just because he went out of the box on a day to day basis," the makeup artist told Fresh U. "That's exactly what makeup artists do, we explore, we create new refreshing ideas, and most importantly, we defy what is perceived as the 'normal' day to day makeup."

She added that SpongeBob's realization that he's okay with being "not normal" echoes how she feels about herself.

"I'm someone who goes out of the box and does silly things all the time, but that doesn't mean I am not acceptable in society, just as any quirky and out of the box looks shouldn't be looked down upon," she said, "[like] how SpongeBob later realized that it was okay for him to not be normal!"

Esha's tweet has since been liked over 40,000 times.

"Everyone has been so so supportive and I've never felt this happy to be a mua," she said. "Gaining recognition for something you love doing is an ultimate goal."
