A Photographer Photoshopped a Woman's Deployed Husband Into Her Maternity Photo

| Trending News

Nicole Bedwell's husband, Navy Corpsman Wesley Bedwell, has missed her entire pregnancy due to his deployment, but that doesn't mean he couldn't be a part of her maternity photos.

"A month after we found out I was pregnant, he deployed,” Nicole told InsideEdition.com. "It’s our first baby. Luckily I had a really good pregnancy, but it definitely sucks."

To make sure her husband was included in the shoot, Nicole hired Traci Fugitt, owner of Traci Lynn Photography to take photos of her in labor, during her delivery and to take her maternity shots.

“It was just something we talked about. I just wanted him in the picture because he wasn’t able to be here during the whole pregnancy so she cropped him in," Nicole shared.

To include Wesley, Fugitt created a side-by-side image of Nicole holding her belly and Wesley kneeling down with his hand up. Put together, the image appears to show Wesley reaching out toward his unborn child. When Nicole saw the finished photos, she was left speechless.

“I cried, both of our families cried," she said. "It's been really emotional for me to have my husband gone my whole pregnancy, so the fact that Traci was able to include him in my maternity session was very emotional. We will never be having our first child again. He's my family, so having him included touched my heart. It made me happy.”

Nicole has since developed hypertension, and because her pregnancy is now high-risk, her husband will be able to take time off to be with her when she is induced on April 12.

“He gets to come home so that takes a lot of the pressure off," she said.
