Watch: Moment Captured Between Father and His Chicago Cubs Fan Son Has Internet in Tears

| Trending News

A young boy couldn’t hold back his tears after being surprised with tickets to see his beloved Chicago Cubs play at Wrigley Field.

It might be an understatement, but Kolt Kyler, 9, of Indiana, is a die-hard Cubs fan. When his older half-sister, Hanna Himes captured video of their father, Andy Kyler, surprising Kolt with tickets to a game, the internet couldn’t handle the sweetness.

In the video Hanna posted on Twitter, Kyler can be heard talking to Kolt about all the hard work the young boy has been putting in to help the family with their farm and compliments his work ethic.

“I kind of tested you today to see you react, but you never once complained,” Kyler. “This is something you and I are going to do and it’s going to take all day to do it.”

As Kolt agrees, his father looks perplexed and wonders how his young boy can just say yes to something that he doesn’t even know he has to do.

While it might be a case of Kolt just spending time with dad, the young boy is eventually surprised with tickets to see the Chicago Cubs. Shocked, he begins to jump up and down, proclaiming, “Me and daddy are going to Wrigley Field.” As he grows excited, he also starts to cry.

The viral video, which has received more than 5,000 retweets and likes on Twitter was noticed by Chicago Cubs players, including Anthony Rizzo, who tweeted, “This is awesome. When [you] come for the game Kolt I’ll have BP passes waiting for you. No better place to see the [Cubs] then right on the field.”

Even this season's Dancing With the Stars contestant, David Ross, tweeted, I need to meet this guy.

According to ABC News, this will be Kolt’s first time watching a Cubs game in person and visiting Wrigley Field.
