Happy Birthday, Shemar Moore!
The actor rings in his 47th birthday on April 20, and while he may not be a permanent fixture on our television screens since his exit from Criminal Minds last year, Moore makes sure to keep his fans in the loop on his Instagram account. Whether he's taking names as Derek Morgan or charming fans with his own antics, we've got plenty of reasons to celebrate the swoon-worthy star.
Before he hit it big on Criminal Minds, Moore was a soap opera star.
The actor played Malcolm Winters on The Young and the Restless from 1994 to 2005, Wikipedia shares. In 2000, Moore was honored with the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series trophy at the Daytime Emmy Awards.
He's passionate about important causes.
The actor is dedicated to fighting multiple sclerosis, a disease his mother, Marilyn, was diagnosed with years ago. In 2006, the actor raised $20,000 for MS research and programs through Bike MS, and continues to raise awareness to this day.
He has "Baby Girl" merchandise.
Back in 2014, Entertainment Tonight shares that Moore began selling clothing featuring his Criminal Minds catchphrase, "Baby girl," and he still offers the merchandise on his website and the CBS Store.
He loves his fans.
So much so, that he's even kissed a few of them in the name of cancer research on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
And finally, a Derek Morgan appreciation post.
Because we can't wish Moore a happy birthday without paying tribute to his most famous character. Criminal Minds just isn't the same without him!
