Over the years, the two royals have spoken about their mother's death, but the brothers have recently become increasingly candid about the effect the loss had on their lives. In a new Facebook Live video shared last week, the duo and William's wife, Kate Middleton, discussed the tragic event, sharing that it brought them closer together and allowed them to express their emotions.
The three royals have been working with Heads Together to raise awareness about the importance of having conversations about mental health, and this video is a great example of how to do that.
The clip starts with the trio discussing the importance of mental health conversations, noting that the pressures today's young people face can be difficult to deal with if they don't have a place to talk about their feelings. They also talked about becoming new parents, trauma in the workplace and bereavement, with the brothers noting that their mother's death brought them closer together.
"The Duke and Duchess and Prince Harry are incredibly grateful to everyone who has shared their stories in recent weeks," the video's caption reads. "And having asked others to start conversations on mental health with their friends and families, they wanted to show that they are taking part as well. They hope the film shows how positive a conversation on mental health can be."
