George and Amal Clooney announced on Tuesday that they had officially welcomed twins Ella and Alexander into the world, and the proud parents made sure to introduce the newborns to their grandparents as soon as they were able.
“They are gorgeous. Nina [Warren] swears they have George’s nose,” George's dad, Nick Clooney, told WXIX. “Not both of them, one of them. The little boy looked like he had [George’s] nose. His little profile.”
“And I love their names Alexander and Ella," he added. "Both sound terrific.”
Nick, who was speaking from his and wife Nina's home in Kentucky, shared that Amal organized the twins' introduction to their grandparents via Skype just hours after their birth, and referred to the human rights lawyer as "superwoman."
He added that the babies are "gorgeous," and both have dark hair.
“Both George and Amal are doing wonderfully well,” Nick said of the new parents, although he made sure to get in a playful jab at his son. “George, well, his eyes were glazed so I’m not sure that he was sober," he joked.
As for meeting the twins, Nick shared that he's sure the new parents are busy and that he doesn't want to rush them.
"They have enough on their plate to have some visiting grandparents coming
