Warning: Major Spoilers ahead for Criminal Minds! Read at your own risk.

As Season 12 of Criminal Minds came to a close, fans were devastated to see that the majority of the BAU was involved in a car accident. Mr. Scratch had set a trap, and there was no clue as to who would make it to see the next season.

However, a recent casting decision seems to solve that mystery. It looks like Stephen Walker will be the one who dies in the accident.

If you recall, actor Damon Gupton was told he wouldn't be coming back for Season 13 of Criminal Minds. While the many actors on the series have seemed to get stuck in a revolving door, the timing makes it seem as though the character is getting killed off.

Now, just because a character is written off, or an actor is asked not to return, doesn't mean that there will be a death on-screen. After all, Daniel Dae Kim and Grace Park are leaving Hawaii Five-0 but their characters will remain alive and well.

The cliffhanger is what makes this all come together.

There's little chance that everyone survives a season finale like that. So, when one of the actors whose character is involved in the cliffhanger reveals that he's not coming back to the series, the writing is on the wall.

It's Criminal Minds, so anything can happen, but it would be a safe bet to say we'll all be watching the BAU say goodbye to Stephen Walker.
