Fast food is seductive; it comes in large quantities, cheap prices and delicious aromas and tastes. However, that bang for your buck can explode your diet and get you off track. Sometimes fast food can’t be avoided, but the massive amounts of calories that frequently come with it can be. Check out our In-N-Out Burger menu under 500 calories.

Hamburger with Onion: Who doesn't crave an all-American burger every once in a while? Plus, In-N-Out's special spread takes the burger to a whole new level. With the spread and bun, the burger comes to a whopping 390 calories, but if you substitute the spread for ketchup and mustard, that calorie count drops to 310.

Hamburger with Onion, Protein Style: At last! A guilt-free fast food hamburger option! Swap the carb and calorie-loaded bun for lettuce and watch the calorie count drop to 240. Not too shabby for a fast food burger!

French Fries: In-N-Out's famous French fries come in heaps and heaps, and at 395 calories, we recommend eating about half those fries. That way, you cut the calorie count to 197.5. For those of you following along at home, you can definitely eat fries if you order a Protein Style Burger; your total calories would come in at 437.5. But that means you wouldn't be able to eat both a regular burger and French fries. Greasy food really packs on the calories!

Beverage: We will always recommend a water or unsweetened iced tea at a fast food joint, because both contain zero calories! Minute Maid Light Lemonade contains eight calories.

Hitting up the drive-thru doesn't have to wreck your diet! All it takes is a little planning and portion control. Next time you find yourself at In-N-Out, remember this simple menu, or click here for nutrition info for their entire menu.
