Womanista Beauty: Eye Color for Fall

Who is ready to make a few changes to their makeup bag now that fall is upon us? During the summer months I love the feel of a fresh face with minimal shadow and a bright, punchy lip. But now that the weather is a little cooler, I like to go full vamp with amped up eye color! Here are a few of my favorite looks for fall…

A Burgundy Smokey Eye:

This look that Terri Apanasewicz perfected on gorgeous Hillary Scott for the Grammy Awards is one of my favorites. It’s glamorous & sexy, and the color gives it some youth & playfulness. If you have light-colored eyes, the burgundy shadow contrasts (with green or blue) and it makes your eyes REALLY pop. You can get the FULL DETAILS (directly from Terri!) on how to achieve this look with Tarte Cosmetics.

Gold Glitter Eyes:

Since my favorite color is sparkle I pretty much think more is more when it comes to glitter – but unless you are 10 years old and going to a dance recital, it’s probably best to keep the glitter slightly toned down. This glam gold look from Micaela Jordan is the perfect sparkly blend that is simply gorgeous! You can check out her COMPLETE tutorial here! I definitely plan on rocking a glittery eye to a few holiday parties this year.

A Perfect Cat Eye:

The sultriness of cat eyeliner is perfect for a sexy fall date night. I love this look – and once you have it down it’s remarkably quick and easy. The fabulous Siobhan McDonnell of “Letz Makeup” walks you through a step by step tutorial to get the perfect cat eye, every time!

What about you, womanistas, what are some of your favorite fall makeup looks?
