Womanista Gift Guide: Foodie Gifts

Hello my lovely womanistas! It’s officially December which means it’s officially time to shop for the holidays (which I’m sure many of you are already in the throws of your shopping! And if you aren’t you still have plenty of time, don’t stress!) Here at the womanista headquarters (and by headquarters I mean my living room!) I’m kicking off this week with a gift guide. Each day this week I’ll feature some of my favorite holiday finds that your loved ones are sure to love! Let’s start with some delicious treats…

Olive & Sinclair Chocolate: Y’all. Who doesn’t like to get some chocolate during the holidays?! Olive & Sinclair makes delicious artisan chocolate right here in the heart of Nashville, TN. It is rich, velvety, creamy, and delicious!! My favorite flavor is the Mexican Style Cinn-Chili. It is spicy and sweet, and so unexpected and awesome.

You can also send your friends and co-workers some holiday cheer with the peppermint bark, or the holiday gift tin (which features five hand-crafted chocolate bars!) Bottom line? Pretty much everyone likes chocolate. And this chocolate is super delish!

Indian River Fruit Company “Citrus Medley”: Last year someone sent us a basket of oranges and grapefruit from Indian River fruit company and my palate for citrus has never been the same. They were the BEST oranges I have ever had in my entire life. Seriously.

The citrus fruit from Indian River Co. is fresh, juicy, sweet, and delicious. This gift basket is thoughtful (and healthy!) and is available for $29.95. Plus, we could all use a little extra vitamin C during the winter months!

Belle Chevre “Play Date” Gift Box: Goat cheese is one of my absolute favorite foods. If there is an item on a restaurant menu that has goat cheese as an ingredient, it’s pretty much a given that I will order it. One of my favorite goat cheeses in existence? The Pimento chevre from Belle Chevre.

This gift box not only features the mouth-watering pimento, but also three other delectable goat cheeses straight from a farm in Alabama for $50. Belle Chevre is award-winning and takes cheese making very seriously (and I take cheese eating very seriously, so it’s a match made in cheese heaven!)

Christie Cookies “Joy of the Season” Cookie Tin: There are no better cookies on the planet than Christie Cookies. The white chocolate macadamia nut cookie is my favorite, and the chocolate chip isn’t far behind! This “Joy of the Season” cookie tin features four cookies of both flavors, plus oatmeal raisin for $22.99.

It’s the perfect combo of sweet, delicious, melt-in-your mouth cookies that never fails to wow a crowd. My mother-in-law recently picked some up to be enjoyed after Thanksgiving and every single cookie was gone about 5 minutes after she opened the box! Plus, Christie Cookies are freshly baked when you order them, right here in Nashville, Tennessee, so you can send a little piece of the south to your loved ones.

“Wines That Rock” Gift Set: Another no-fail holiday gift is wine. During a season of Christmas cheer, it is always nice to have a few extra bottles on hand! These rock-inspired wines not only taste great and are fairly priced, but they are also fun and different.

It’s the perfect gift for a music lover or a wine lover (or someone who happens to be both, like people in my family!) You can pick up a bottle featuring your favorite rock band, starting at just $16.

Happy holiday shopping for the foodies in your life, womanistas!

xo, the Womanista
