I’ve had the pleasure of spending the past few days in the presence of the original “Gold Dust Woman”, Ms. Stevie Nicks (Yes, that’s a total name drop! but seriously…) As a style icon, Stevie represents everything glam about the ’70s & the glittering boho-chic fabulousness of that era. Lately I’m loving all things gilded, thanks to her inspiration.
If you have read this blog at all before, you know I love a sequin. I live for glitz and sparkle is my favorite color! Which is why I’m loving that fact that 70′s retro gold is having a major moment right now! Even if you don’t feel like you can pull off the floor-length gold sequin gown like Emily Blunt wore to the Golden Globes (this was one of my fave looks!), you can still rock a fabulous gold accessory, add a fresh bronze accent to your home decor, or sweep some gold shimmer over your eye lids for a modern, glam look!
Here are a few bold, gold statements that I’m loving lately…

The gold hardware in this kitchen is absolutely stunning (and I also might add, this whole kitchen looks more like an uber-glam closet than a place to prepare food!) So fabulous.

This manicure is so fun and chic! I love the mix of gold and coral, and it’s the perfect way to accessorize your nails this spring!

This Alexandre Vauthier mini dress is absolutely divine! The standout gold embellishment against the crisp white crepe creates a statement look that is the epitome of a “Gold Dust Woman”. It’s fierce & fabulous.

This gorgeous gold bangle metallic leather platform sandal from Giuseppe Zanotti is stunning! They can take a simple little black dress and make it party-perfect. If the $850 price tag doesn’t quite work with your budget, these glittering gold stilettos from Windsor make the same statement, but for a FRACTION of the price ($29!!!)
Are you loving gold as much as I am, womanistas?

WOW! That’s the best name drop ever. Stevie Nicks is my fashion icon (like this old post… http://dearandi.com/?p=1386 )!
I just ordered some antique gold lamps today and then read your post! I love the resurgence of the brass, gold, antique gold accents, it screams retro, Mad Men!
I love it too! Gold adds a luxurious element to any shape/design/accent. I bet your antique gold lamps are fabulous!
Gold is AWSOME;) You are SO lucky to have met Stevie Nicks!!
Thanks! xo
