Womanista Love: Happy New Year!

Happy New Year, womanistas! Today I’m toasting 2013 (with some Krug, thankyouverymuch). It has been a year of fun, excitement, happiness, life lessons, incredible blessings, and intense loss. My sweet, wonderful, funny, wise, & incredible dad passed away on December 14th. The past few weeks have been just…weird. Today is the first day I have felt inspired to share anything with you womanistas since my dad’s passing (and I hope y’all didn’t miss me too much during my extended blog absence! ha ha)

As 2013 comes to a close, I will always remember it to be a year of Highs & Lows. Happiness & Sadness. Success & Disappointment. Light & Darkness. Birth & Death. So here’s to 2014 – a year I KNOW will be filled with blessings, joy & laughter! I’ll leave y’all with a recipe for a delish champagne cocktail & some of my fave pics from 2013. Cheers & Love & Light to you all!! xxxx
