Womanista Travel: Snapshots from Rome

Y’all. Rome. Italy in general. It is magical and breathtaking and yummy and perfect! If you ever have a chance to visit, you MUST. My husband and I embarked upon our Italian adventure about a week ago, with our first stop in Rome. Here are a few of my favorite snapshots from the eternal city!

Gorgeous flowers in the Lobby of the Hotel de Russie (officially one of my favorite hotels in the entire world!)

The Trevi Fountain by Bernini – the largest baroque fountain in the world

This is me sipping champagne before dinner on our 4th anniversary. I’m wearing a pastel, lace dress by Dolce & Gabbana (I had to wear a dress by an Italian designer, right??)

A gorgeous painted ceiling in the Vatican

The courtyard “Jardin de Russie” bar at the Hotel de Russie. The perfect, quiet place for a delish, handcrafted cocktail.

Ruins of a Roman temple that were turned into part of a church – this is in the Roman Forum

A gorgeous jewel box containing dessert at La Pergola restaurant. This place had knockout views over all of Rome and was one of the BEST meals of my life. incredible. And my dress was busting at the seams afterwards :-)

Me standing in the Piazza del Popolo on a rainy afternoon. There is beauty on EVERY corner in this fabulous city! (PS – I’m wearing an Equipment top, JBrand Jeans, a DVF bag, and Tarte lipstick in “fierce”)

Ciao, womanistas!

BTW I love the fact that you are using an umbrella and people behind you are not;) It’s like all the tourists in Bergen, they use umbrellas but us from Bergen don’t haha.

It looks like a dream trip! We stayed at the Cavelerri two years ago, and I remember the view from Le Pergola was breathtaking.
The Italians are crazzzzzy people! But you have to love their love of life and la dolce vita! Their organization is unorganization. And the key word(and only word) to know is
” prego.: If all else fails, there is always, “prego”!

Enjoy and keep these posts coming LOVE THEM!!!
